Once upon a time, there was a woman named Sherry who owned a consulting business, specializing in freelance marketing, copy-writing and advertising consulting.
Sound familiar?
Sherry started her website and traffic was flowing nicely. Her blog had goobs of great content, that people would share with other interested people around the web, making Sherry a go-to girl for marketing advice, tips and of course, repeat business that filled up her bank account.
What’s her secret?
Well, Sherry had a simple strategy. It’s called GAVITMM or
Awesome acronym right? C’mon, you could do worse! Anyway, Sherry knew that her customers would respond like wild-fire if she drilled down and really fought to understand what THEY wanted.
Here are some of Sherry’s tips for e-mail marketing, the most cost-effective marketing ever!
1. Use a service like Aweber or ConstantContact to start your e-mail marketing. It’s easier to start something right off the bat then to just say,”Oh, it’s too hard. Forget it.”
SO many people do this- just start using Aweber or Constant Contact now to get the hang of it.
Tip: You can try out the Aweber demo. It’s awesome and the tool that I use to manage all my lists

2. Start using your Aweber email form to grab subscribers. For headline tips and copywriting strategies that are killer, you can look here for writing headlines that sell like crazy. Pack a benefit-laden headline into your e-mail newsletter box, and start grabbing subscribers.
3. Grab Subscribes with your free report on (your industry here) Ex: “Five Hidden Ways To Instantly Start Slashing Your Credit Card Debt”. Get more headline-writing ideas over here

4. Armed with your free report or e-zine ( e-zine is a newsletter in internet marketing terms) you can start to draw in your readers. Tip: Use your e-mails to drive traffic back to your website for a discussion about your post of the day or topic of the week.
Clayton Makepeace of Makepeace Total Package does a roundup, A Week In Review, he calls it.
I recommend you do the same.
5. Don’t like to do a e-zine or e-mail blast? You could set up a video blog or podcast that you shoot to iTunes and through your RSS feed. If you want to learn more about how to do that, look here
6. Give them access to a multi-step system. Instead of calling it a free report, call it a System, Blueprint, or Strategy. EX: The Hedge-Fund Strategy That Works In 3 Weeks.
* Give them a pdf PACKED with awesome tips on how to succeed in Hedge Funds in their market.
* Wrap that into a podcast and maybe interview an expert ( look up hedge fund blogs or sites and contact the owners. They will fall all over themselves for the extra exposure, trust me).
* Take the podcast and e-book and spread the content out over two weeks. You can even break up the podcast into different sections and post them to iTunes and other directories.
* Last, take the content from the pdf and podcasts, and turn it into a video presentation using Traffic Geyser. Then, blast it out over the Internet and keep a close eye on Google to see your work show up!
7. Give the content away for free and then have EXTRA content that you can charge for on the Thank You page you set up in Aweber. This is called an Up-Sell. Kind of like “would you like fries with that?” at McDonalds. Give them free, awesome content and then sell them on the great stuff. Do this at the Thank You page AND after they have gotten your two week course.
P.S- Let me know how these tips are helping you, and if they are not, then let’s talk about what we can do to get your business going into hyper-drive.
If you need help with these tips, you can hire me for consulting services. Have a great day!

I love bullets!
They’re fun - and easy to write once you get the hang of ‘em!
In this issue, I’m going to show you some of my secrets for writing powerful, strong and kick-butt bullets! Once you learn my tricks, feel free to start using them immediately. You’ll see how your copy just POPS, flows and takes off!
In case you’re not sure what I’m blabbering about, here’s how I define a bullet:
“A mini headline followed by strong supporting sentence aimed to tease and entice your prospect.”
Bullets help you create momentum in your copy. And since most people scan instead of read - bullets can help you quickly drive home the points you want your prospect to remember.

Dear Business-Builder,
It’s not getting any easier – is it?
If you’ve spent any time in the trenches of Internet marketing over the past few years, you know precisely what I’m talking about: Those out-of-the-park grand slams are fewer and farther between these days.
Once upon a time, you could just blast an offer – almost any offer – to your customer file or even ice-cold prospect names, then sit back and watch an avalanche of orders come pouring in.
The money was amazing: When one of my clients e-mailed a single note to his 35,000 customers back in the mid-1990s, he raked in $12 million in less than a week.
Ah … the GOOD old days!
Today, that client would kill to get those kinds of results. Like most Internet marketers today, he’s working harder and profiting less. Much less.
