We’ve all done it:
Tried to advertise and get the jump on Google.
We want higher search engine rankings, more profit coming from our efforts.
But…it doesn’t happen.
The Google Trap
Here’s the usual story. Nod your head if you agree with me:
You have a killer idea for a new site or business. So, you create the site, get the copy all nice and snug, and start to wander over to the neon Google sign, where you believe business will be found.
So, you start advertising with Google…
And then-WHAM!
It hits you like a ton of bricks, doesn’t it?
- Adwords spending out of control, trying to get our site featured on the first page of Google, doing weird SEO type tricks to get to that one “spot” that someone you hired or a blog post you read about said that you should be at.

When I am doing article marketing, whether that is for myself or a client of ArticleStorm, I submit the articles to EzineArticles.com.
Google LOVES EZA, and it shows up very quickly with excellent search placement as well.

EzineArticles.com- Watch out to not be too overly promotional here, especially when selling affiliate products. Go for one hyperlink in the BODY of the article, not the summary at the top, and then really sell in your Bio Box below. See my articles for examples.
2.
Goarticles.com- You can promote all you want here, and Google seems to enjoy these guys.
3.
Squidoo.com, again, quality content outsells the “selling hard” method. Give people quality content, and they will love you.
4.
Hubpages- again, don’t over-sell, esp here. They love quality content.
