How Starbucks Is Killing Unique and Wonderful Profits
What does consistency do to the brand?
How have we killed the notion that being individual was cool, hip, and probably made you more sales?
I mean, it’s not all Starbuck’s fault, right? There were plenty of chains, and cookie-cutter stores to go to before Starbucks. But the real reason I think that Starbucks has killed the individual store is that they just tried so darn hard to make everything the same, to kill the coolness of any individual style, to not have anything out of place.

Heck, you cannot even get ( and correct me if I am wrong here) different flavors at each store! That would be a huge selling point for the java-giant, but noooo. I mean, imagine if you had to go to a certain store to get a certain drink that only your barista could make.
