People race up to greedily place their bets, even before they’ve studied the teams to figure out which one really has a chance to win.
They “think” they are betting on a “sure thing” when it could all fall apart in one sitting.
All because they were too lazy to do one thing…
Pay attention–
to specifics.
Specifics are the “glue” that holds any successful ad together. Instead of “make money” your ad could read, “take home up to 7 times what you already make”. Instead of “lose weight now.”, you could say, “lose 7 pounds in just 13 days.” Much more believable too–and it leads the reader to feel the benefit–because they can understand and put faith in your claims.
By choosing your product over a competitors–they are saving hours if not weeks of frustration. (that’s a sure benefit–but it lacks specifics!).
Try this instead: Instead of saying “just weeks” make your promise much more believable by adding in–48 hours, 7 days, 13 minutes, is all it takes. See how adding in specific times is much better than being vague? And it gets your cash register ringing faster to boot.
