So, the moral of the story is- have a punch card or offer to give away gift cards at your store- chances are, you’ll be printing money in no time.

The guy who invented the karaoke machine, Daisuke Inoue, couldn’t sing, couldn’t read music, and played the keyboards about as well as your average third-grader.

Creedence Clearwater Revival had seven songs hit #2 on the pop singles chart, but never scored a number one hit.
Everywhere I look, it seems that someone has more success, more acclaim, more accomplishments. Really, that’s not why I got into this business, copy-writing, but that is how quickly that kind of thinking can overtake you in a terrible way.
Take my industry for example: Ogilvy sold millions for Dove, Schweppes, Rolls-Royce and other companies. Hopkins had Schlitz Beer, and dozens of other success stories. Then there are the Internet millionaires…
Take real estate- Warren Buffet, computers, you’ve got Bill Gates and a host of others. The point is this- if you crave that kind of success, as we all do at some point, you are kind of missing the point.
